Of particular note for me was Vee's recent article on Pleasure Principled in which she mentions the idols "existing as idols" rather than "being idols." Berryz are in the "being idols" category for me. I've never been as much of a fan of Morning Musume as many others have, so in my eyes, it's not a case of surpassing, it's a maintaining of the status quo.

To finish the thought, you aren't the only one who thinks Berryz has surpassed Morning Musume. Celestia made a similar observation in her Wonderful Hearts 2009 concert review.

Indeed, Berryz are tops for me. While I believe that both groups are great, Berryz is just so much more fun to me. I've not had much effort put into becoming attached to the Elders, but I do understand the appeal of the old school. In any case, the Kids are where it's at and I'm looking forward to what they come up with over the next couple years.

I note you have most of Berryz Kobo in the top 10, just as I've voted for most C-ute members high up. Very tough to abandon the Elders, but there is a clear choice here in my vew — the junior groups.
